INFj

***Stolen (kinda) from :icontherealdarkfox13: , who posted this link www.socionics.com/sta/sta_turb… to determine personality type***

This is also copy/pasted from www.personalitypage.com/INFJ.h… , which describes the personality type I received ^^

The Protector

As an INFJ, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you take things in primarily via intuition. Your secondary mode is external, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit with your personal value system.

INFJs are gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individuals. Artistic and creative, they live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities. Only one percent of the population has an INFJ Personality Type, making it the most rare of all the types.

INFJs place great importance on havings things orderly and systematic in their outer world. They put a lot of energy into identifying the best system for getting things done, and constantly define and re-define the priorities in their lives. On the other hand, INFJs operate within themselves on an intuitive basis which is entirely spontaneous. They know things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. They are usually right, and they usually know it. Consequently, INFJs put a tremendous amount of faith into their instincts and intuitions. This is something of a conflict between the inner and outer worlds, and may result in the INFJ not being as organized as other Judging types tend to be. Or we may see some signs of disarray in an otherwise orderly tendency, such as a consistently messy desk.

INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them. As an extreme example, some INFJs report experiences of a psychic nature, such as getting strong feelings about there being a problem with a loved one, and discovering later that they were in a car accident. This is the sort of thing that other types may scorn and scoff at, and the INFJ themself does not really understand their intuition at a level which can be verbalized. Consequently, most INFJs are protective of their inner selves, sharing only what they choose to share when they choose to share it. They are deep, complex individuals, who are quite private and typically difficult to understand. INFJs hold back part of themselves, and can be secretive.

But the INFJ is as genuinely warm as they are complex. INFJs hold a special place in the heart of people who they are close to, who are able to see their special gifts and depth of caring. INFJs are concerned for people's feelings, and try to be gentle to avoid hurting anyone. They are very sensitive to conflict, and cannot tolerate it very well. Situations which are charged with conflict may drive the normally peaceful INFJ into a state of agitation or charged anger. They may tend to internalize conflict into their bodies, and experience health problems when under a lot of stress.

Because the INFJ has such strong intuitive capabilities, they trust their own instincts above all else. This may result in an INFJ stubborness and tendency to ignore other people's opinions. They believe that they're right. On the other hand, INFJ is a perfectionist who doubts that they are living up to their full potential. INFJs are rarely at complete peace with themselves - there's always something else they should be doing to improve themselves and the world around them. They believe in constant growth, and don't often take time to revel in their accomplishments. They have strong value systems, and need to live their lives in accordance with what they feel is right. In deference to the Feeling aspect of their personalities, INFJs are in some ways gentle and easy going. Conversely, they have very high expectations of themselves, and frequently of their families. They don't believe in compromising their ideals.

INFJ is a natural nurturer; patient, devoted and protective. They make loving parents and usually have strong bonds with their offspring. They have high expectations of their children, and push them to be the best that they can be. This can sometimes manifest itself in the INFJ being hard-nosed and stubborn. But generally, children of an INFJ get devoted and sincere parental guidance, combined with deep caring.

In the workplace, the INFJ usually shows up in areas where they can be creative and somewhat independent. They have a natural affinity for art, and many excel in the sciences, where they make use of their intuition. INFJs can also be found in service-oriented professions. They are not good at dealing with minutia or very detailed tasks. The INFJ will either avoid such things, or else go to the other extreme and become enveloped in the details to the extent that they can no longer see the big picture. An INFJ who has gone the route of becoming meticulous about details may be highly critical of other individuals who are not.

The INFJ individual is gifted in ways that other types are not. Life is not necessarily easy for the INFJ, but they are capable of great depth of feeling and personal achievement.

As the title suggests, for those of you who actually watch me, I'm in fact not dead, but I haven't been able to get any more pictures. I haven't had time, with school, co-op, work, and personal reasons. Not to mention the cottage featured in most of my pictures has had to be sold, so I won't be able to go up there any more, which is really depressing. That cottage has been in my family for ages. So far, 2012 has been a really crappy year, but I'm not going to go into all of it, you guys don't need to hear me whine anymore and there are just too many reasons XD

Bottom line, I don't know when I'll be able to get any more pictures up, but I'll try and see what I can do.

One of your fellow Deviants, HeWhoWalksWithTigers, got an internship opportunity to help with Tiger and Elephant Conservation in Asia. Sadly, the position opened to him is a volunteer job and he is currently raising money to go live and work with Freeland Foundation freeland.org/eng/.

Here is the information on the fundraiser, copied from one of HeWhoWalksWithTigers's journal:

This is definately a cause worth supporting if at all possible. 100% of the proceeds will go to the fundraiser. Here is a link to the full journal: hewhowalkswithtigers.deviantar… , please check it out and if you could, fav it and perhaps this journal so that we can spread the word about this cause.

The fundraiser is also featured in journals from the group :iconsave-the-tiger:. They are also worth checking out for more information on Tigers and how to help keep them alive.

New Journals?

4 min read

EDIT: spyed has put out an article answering a lot of questions about this new feature, which is really helpful :D Also, writing journals is supposed to be back to the way it was, and it is optional to use Sta.sh writer. Here is the article: spyed.deviantart.com/journal/A…

SO. DA has launched the new journal ideas, those being that to write a new journal, you must do so in Sta.sh writer (for premium members), news and journals are now considered almost one and the same, and you can fav journals as well, making them almost like deviations. Obviously, some people like it, and many people don't. From what I've seen, it hasn't been going over very well....

Making journals in Sta.sh writer (as I'm doing now) can have its perks, such as being able to easily drag & drop files and pics into it without having to type out the codes. You can also put links it without typing it out. This blog from #devbug will tell you about Sta.sh writer better than I can: devbug.deviantart.com/journal/… . Some people are saying, though, that it has just become a longer process, with more steps than it used to have.

As for journals and news being the same, this has resulted in rather than top, important news being at the top of the feed, we have journals, some of which are ones that are only popular because of some sort of drama. Contests and such take a back seat to these journals.

Most people don't seem to have a problem with being able to fav journals, although the fact that they show up on the front page has been a bit of a bother to some. I can understand that, as journals aren't exactly "art", really. But what do I know?

A journal by :iconassclownfish: shows the downsides of these new features well, in my opinion:  doitforthelulz.deviantart.com/… (also, ironically, this journal is at the top of the news feed)

As for me, I'm impartial to the whole thing. As long as I can still submit journals and deviations, that's fine.

Tell me, what do you think about it? Comment on this journal or just use the poll below this journal to answer, if you feel like it.

1. Where do you get your inspiration from?
Hmm, it depends, inspiration for what? I don't really have any inspiration for my art, but in life seeing qualities in others that I like and admire inspires me to aquire those qualities, or do my best to.

2. If you could have lunch with somebody famous, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Not quite sure on this one, but I would have to say perhaps Betty White, so I could congratulate her on her amazing acting and ask her how she did it

3. What would be your superhero name, super power, and alter-ego?
Uhmm, superhero name would probably Captain Comeback, and my super power would be obliterating stupidity with sarcastic and witty comebacks. Alter ego would just be me :)

4. You're randomly given $10,000, and it's not a scam. What would you do with it?
I would give it all to my mum.

5. What would you rather give up for life; your favorite food or your favorite song?
Favorite food.

6. You're given a choice between being able to fly, and being able to teleport. Which do you choose, and why?
I would choose being able to fly, because although teleporting would be quicker, flying would be more exhilerating and also less intrusive...

7. If you're being sentenced to death and could ask for one friend to argue your case, who would you ask? Why?
I would ask my girlfriend, because she ultimately knows me the best and I love her logic for many of her opinions.

8. What's your pet peeve?
Stupidity

9. If you could have a pokemon for a pet, which one would you choose? (pun intended!)
XD Mew, all the way

10. Sum up your philosophy on life in ten words or less. <3
Forget regret, or life is yours to miss (from RENT)

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE PERSON I TAG!
1. What would you do if you only had 24 hours to live? Who would you spend it with?
2. If you were an animal, what animal do you think your personality would most represent?
3. Which would you rather have, a Facebook account, or a DeviantArt account? Why?
4. If you could have a superpower (a legitimate one, one from the comics lol) what would you have and why?
5. Favorite quote and why?
6. Coffe or Tea?
7. Who is the person you most admire and why?
8. If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
9. Favorite band/singer?
10. What quality do you most admire in a person and why?

When you are done answering these questions, think of 10 yourself and tag someone else!
